they were loaded with Turkish Windows,
and then sent to Multi-Purpose Community
Centers throughout the region.

in Urfa.To date, we have set up three
computer labs in Urfa.

In coordination with FCF, we donated one hundred and thirty computers and monitors to the GAP Government Regional Center in Urfa, which in turn were installed in over thirty Multi-Purpose Community Centers throughout the Southeast of Turkey.

living by shining shoes on the streets.

These kids now have the opportunity for another
option - to learn basic computer skills.

These centers are run by the GAP Social department and are located in some of the poorest neighborhoods of these cities. The labs are staffed by volunteer teachers, and designed to educate women, young people and children in these areas.

In these parts of Turkey, financial hardship dictates that children are often required to quit school in order to help provide for their large families, many kids end up toiling long hours at low pay at an age when they should still be enjoying childhood.

Introducing the opportunity for computer literacy into this environment can open incredible new doors
for these individuals.
