Pepsi Island Rock Festival

The Pepsi Island Rock Festival is an annual 7-day event in Budapest that we attend for the purpose of sharing the message of God's love with the thousands of young people who attend. This year, we arranged for a Christian band, Metanoia, to play a couple hours a night, which in turn drew many interested seekers to our camp. Personal counseling went on till the wee hours of the morning, sometimes even until dawn.

Some highlights form Pepsi Island:

A very intellectual physicist, drawn to our music, said that he'd traveled the world from Russia to Jerusalem, trying many religions, and had so many questions that he was now getting answered in the Bible.

We ran into an old acquaintance, whom we hadn't seen in 10 years or so. He mentioned that he'd traveled a lot, and at one time was spending 400 dollars a day on cocaine, but got off of it. He ended up praying with us to ask the Lord's help in his life.

Around 3 am, as we considering going to sleep for the night, a huge muscular guy with tattoos and shaved head came to our tent site. He told us that his friend, who was accompanying him, had "a big problem". Somewhat warily at first, we asked him what it was, only to be relieved by his response: "My friend doesn't yet have Jesus in his heart, so can you please pray with him?"
