Helping Hand

Project No: F05
Project Managers:
Anthony and Anna Mizrany

Since 1997, Helping Hand has been providing Christian training via literature and educational materials. They also deliver food and clothing to a local soup kitchen and a day-care center/hospital for needy children and their families. During the course of these activities, they are able to provide encouragement and counseling to those they serve. Helping Hand is also involved in various outreach activities-personal evangelism, Bible study classes, and weekly distribution of 200 inspirational messages.

Project Helping Hand evolved from attempts made to find practical ways of putting Christian principles to work. The guiding goal is to bring God's love to others through:

  • An inspirational Monday morning message, "The Fax of Life", sent by fax and e-mail;
  • Literature and children's educational materials;
  • Institutional programs for young victims of society;
  • Personal visitation;
  • Bible studies and Christian education; and
  • Collection/distribution of goods to the poor.

The project also provides a means for donors to experience the blessings received with unselfish giving. Helping Hand encourages and promotes community cooperation by either connecting potential patrons with worthy outreach projects or by collecting their offerings and distributing them to critical areas.

Excerpt from Family Care Foundation Newsletter Volume 3 -- No. 4

The month of December has meant extra work for us, but also extra fulfillment. We were able to procure and increase the amount of food and clothing that we distribute to the local soup kitchen here. This has included hundreds of kilos of milk, meat, vegetables, fresh fruit, clothing and household items, as well as extra treats for Christmas.
