FCF Partner Wins World Culture Open

Following three days of events in New York City this September, the World Culture Open 2004 shifted to Korea, where the multinational NGO, which promotes the value of cultural diversity, honored Action in Focus for our humanitarian service.

The WCO Cultural Competition for Humanitarian Service seeks out organizations that “serve their neighbors, society and humanity with a dedication and passion that can not be equaled by any other”. Our FCF Project, Action in Focus, was chosen for the award from amongst 354 NGOs and performing groups from 70 different countries who participated in these cultural Olympics.

The criteria necessary to be considered as a WCO contestant include an examination of the length and progression of the NGO’s humanitarian service, focused on their contribution to the unity and development of humanity through the exchange of ideas on humanitarian service, and involvement in academic research for social and cultural progress.

The message promoted by WCO is that all lives are to be respected.
