A testimonial from a man who received a sponsored surgery at the Family Care Clinic:
“I am Kayode from Ondo State, 27 years old. I work as a security man at a shopping complex in Lagos. I have been having discomfort and pain in my scrotal area for over fifteen years, not even knowing what it was called (Hernioraphy) all this time. Finally, severe pain set in to the point that I thought I was going to die.
“I was taken to a hospital where the pain was temporarily relieved and I was then told to come up with eighty thousand naira (N80, 000) for the surgery because if I didn’t, a complication might set in. With my small salary of ten thousand naira (N10, 000) a month, and no relatives or parents to turn to, I went to the Family Care Clinic for assistance. A doctor promised to contact the Family Care committee who would search for a sponsor for my case.
“At last I was told a sponsor had been found and my surgery was scheduled. The surgical operation was done, and the pain and swelling have all disappeared. Thank God for Family Care. Thank you very much my sponsor for this great gift. God will bless you abundantly.”
