FCE volunteers take these young cancer patients to regular activities such as enjoying an amusement park or a movie, as well as participating in games and special events.

In addition to the inspirational value, the purpose of these outings is to give the children an experience to remember and cherish, while also involving volunteers and participants from the community.  

Many children growing up in Mumbai, institutionalized children in particular, are not able to realize the opportunities that are awaiting them in the world and so may lack the motivation to excel. 

These outings thus serve to create in the children a greater awareness of the community at large, and the opportunities available.
