Since Goa is a prominent tourist destination, poor people from surrounding States make their way here with the notion that there's money to be made from the tourists, but instead these families end up in despicable conditions.

Above are examples of the houses and family background that many of the street kids here come from. These families usually originate from neighboring States and thus they are not entitled to any benefits from the Government as there are not from Goa.
