Yearly Report 2001
Family Educational Services, Pakistan

Following are some of the highlights of this past year, a brief overview of the three local projects that we conduct here in Pakistan, and a brief look at future plans for these projects.

We'd like to underscore a highlight of this past year - the growth of our Deaf Reach Training Center. The Center in Karachi has made great progress, expanding to accommodate more deaf students from all parts of the city. Recently, we opened a 2nd Deaf Reach Training Center in Lahore, where the need of further educational facilities for the Deaf in this large city is great.

Our long term goal is to open small educational centers for the Deaf in all the key cities of the country. We realize that this will take time, and we also need to train the teachers necessary for this large task. With training centers now operating in these two large cities, we look forward to further growth into other areas of Pakistan to help meet the expanding need for Deaf Education
