Little Eyes

Established in 2009 by Mark S. Harris and Hien Thi Cao, Little Eyes, Vietnam is a non-profit, charitable, volunteer-based organization whose primary objective is to enhance the quality of life and development for all sectors of the community, particularly the disadvantaged. A core focal point is investing in Vietnam’s children and youth of today in order to help build the leaders of tomorrow.
Little Eyes’ objectives are realized through the following projects and activities:
- Providing wholesome character-building reading and audio visual materials free of charge for abandoned and underprivileged children. These children are also provided with moral support, character building training and educational opportunities.
- English language classes for under-privileged youth.
- Translation of educational and motivational literature and audio/visual materials for use in children’s development programs.
- Soliciting and distributing donated goods and supplies to impoverished and socially disadvantaged individuals and families with no other means available, including orphaned and destitute children.
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Through its work with various social and educational institutions in Vietnam, Little Eyes discovered the enormous lack of wholesome, character-building materials available in Vietnamese.
In Vietnam, orphans or children from impoverished backgrounds must learn English to find gainful employment when they grow up. Little Eyes offers free English classes to orphanages and disadvantaged schools both in Ho Chi Minh City as well as rural areas.
Little Eyes reaches out to disabled children and teenagers in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing a message of hope and courage through beautiful and uplifting stories.
