'Famine for Love' charity concert to benefit North Koreans Internationally

Renowned pianist Sam Rotman will perform at a special benefit concert for North Korea this coming Thursday, Nov. 18th at 7:30 p.m. at the Munhwa Ilbo Concert Hall in Kwanghwamun.

A graduate of Julliard School of Music in New York City and Laureate Winner of the 4th International Beethoven Competition in Vienna, Mr. Rotman is currently touring Asia. The program will feature works by Beethoven, Mozart, Handel, Debussy and Mussorgsky.

Also performing at the event will well-known soprano Chang Sun-kyung, professor of voice at Myunggi University. Ms. Chang has appeared in various operatic performances and a number of nationwide television broadcasts. Titled, "Famine for Love," the charity concert is sponsored by the Ton-a-Month Club, a Christian relief project lead by American Tim Peters and based in Seoul. All proceeds from the concert will be used to send food and aid supplies to famine stricken areas in North Korea.
