Reachout Outreach Mission Incorporated
Project Managers: Odin and Stella Deseo

Reachout Volunteers concentrates on missionary outreach within
the maximum security compound of the main
prison camp in the Philippines called Bilibid Prison. A church
has been established for the inmates, many of whom have either life
sentences or are on death row. Weekly Bible studies are given and
weekly visitation is made on a separate day in order to offer personal
counseling, legal help, etc. Reachout also offer assistance to the
inmates families in the way of clothing and other material
goods, financial aid (sometimes helping to pay their rent), as well
as visits to those families who live too far away to visit their
loved ones in prison.
In addition, Reachout Outreach Mission Incorporated
volunteers are also involved in a Youth Crusade against Drugs.

Crusade
Against Drugs
We have done a number of shows with our "Hearts Aflame"
singing team, including a show at the PNP 'Officers Ladies Club' in Camp
Crame HQ and Malasigue Municipal High School in Pangasinan. The topic
that was given to us to talk on, on the symposium, is the family's role
in fighting drug addiction problem. This gives us the opportunity to share
the importance of one of the basic family values--a relationship with
God through Jesus Christ. We have programs lined up with Campus Crusade
Against Drugs, as well as invitations for talks on drug symposium.

In recognizing our efforts and support to the Anti-Drug campaign,
Reachout Outreach Ministry was awarded a plague of Appreciation
from the Commanding General of the Narcotic Command Group of the
Philippine National Police. Above, Project Manager Odin Deseo is
seen receiving the plague during the annual celebration of the Narcotic
Command Group.

speakers at the event, speaking on the family 's role in the fight
against drugs, we performed an anti-drug song.

Mindano Armed Forces Appreciation
Event
During the height of the conflict in Mindanao many people
died; 209 civilians, 542 MILF fighters, 189 soldiers and scores of wounded
soldiers. The Marines, being the first to fight and the cutting edge of
the armed forces, suffered a lot of casualties. An opportunity opened
for us to encourage these wounded Marines and with our singing team and
help from our sponsors, we were able to organise an event to convey our
appreciation for their endangering and sacrificing of their lives in protecting
people's lives in war torn Mindanao.

Aiding the War Ravaged Mindanao Civilian
Population
Due to the military operations in Mindanao thousands of
civilians were caught in the crossfire causing many to evacuate to safer
areas. With the help of sponsors we were able to pool resources and make
a trip to Mindanao, bringing donated goods such as used clothing, medicines,
food items and toys for the children. We went to Camp Parang Maguindanao,
where the evacuees came from Barira and Matanog Maguindanao, areas of
heavy fighting, being the second biggest rebel camp in the country.
