Tim Peters of Helping Hands, Korea, joined Japanese activist Hiroshi Kato (recently released from a Chinese prison), Kim Sang Hun (senior activist in the underground railroad for the refugees), and Dr. Norbert Vollertsen, to visit the regional UNHCR office in Tokyo. They delivered a letter pointing out the UNHCR’s failure to live up to its mandate in China to protect North Korean refugees.

Tim was asked to give the opening prayer at a protest rally held in front of the Chinese embassy in Washington D.C. to protest that country’s policy towards North Korean refugees. · Helping Hands Korea continued its monthly commitment to Schindler’s Club, aptly named to describe the work of funding and assisting in the rescue of North Korean refugees.
