FamilyCare Foundation Newsletter: Volume 2 -- No. 4 --December 1998 Dear Friends, Hello and warm Christmas greetings to you! We pray that you have a very Merry Christmas with your loved ones and enjoy a memorable holiday season. At this special time of year, our foremost thought is one of overwhelming gratitude for all the good that has been accomplished in the lives of so many. We especially appreciate people, such as yourselves, who have contributed so much through your prayers, encouragement, involvement and financial support. As we begin our third year of operations, we look forward to doing even more to help those in need. Thank you very much for all that you are doing to make it possible for FCFs growing network of projects and volunteers to make a real difference. May the wonderful Christmas message of Gods hope and comfort be your ever-renewing strength. With our sincere prayers for a love-filled holiday,
From the Family Care Foundation office team FCFs Family Education Program Since Christmas is an especially meaningful time for families, we thought it would be appropriate to focus this issue of the FCF Newsletter on our Family Education Program. One of FCFs primary goals is to invest in the leaders of tomorrow, todays children, and their families. To help achieve this goal, FCF has licensed a number of videos and booklets featured in this newsletter. The exempt-purpose mass distribution and broadcast of these videos, rich in family values and Christian principles, is a valuable component of our Family Education Program. Featured below is a childrens series produced in response to the great need for quality childrens programming. Treasure Attic is an"edu-tainment" series for children, now being aired on American television. This series provide wholesome, educational and character-building entertainment. Parents and educators worldwide have testified to the positive impact these videos are having on the children in their care. FCF has also licensed two thought-provoking videos for an older audience, the stand-alone documentary Countdown to Armageddon and a high impact music video The Final Stand. We hope you will take time to read over the brief description of each of these products. Through our initial efforts, these products are gaining exposure in North America and abroad, via both broadcast and home video distribution outlets. Our product lines were recently represented at MIPCOM, the largest international gathering of television broadcasters held annually in Cannes, France. Our videos were also displayed at MIPCOM Junior, held just prior to MIPCOM, where worldwide buyers have the opportunity to sample childrens video materials. Our video lines have had representation in several other major international television broadcasters and video distributors conventions, with more such venues planned in the future.
Treasure Attic producer and host, Robert Fernandez, at the international MIPCOM fair in Cannes, France. So, as set out in our goals for 1998, we have begun developing an international distribution network in order to achieve maximum exposure for the positive and character-building content of these products. Our many thanks again to those of you who have contributed so much in making this project an on-going success. Countdown to Armageddon is available upon request from major video retailers in the U.S. Information regarding The Final Stand can also be obtained
via the FCF address. Please feel free to contact FCF if you have any other
requests or questions. Thank you.
If Gods love is for any, it is for all of His children around the world, from every nation, of every tongue. For it is the language of His love that unites mens hearts everywhere, bringing "peace on Earth and good will to all men." May the true riches of heavenly peace, love, happiness, warmth and joy fill your life during this season and always. Merry Christmas |
