Love in Action, Guadalajara, Mexico
Love in Action, a Mexico-based FCF project focusing on the needs of the poor in Guadalajara, provides the following free services: a medical clinic, kitchen, and day care center.
The medical clinic is operated year round and attends to the medical needs of over 100 people monthly. $81,000 in medicines and medical attention was provided to 430 needy families.
Additionally, each month approximately three tons of food and other needs are collected from the local business community and distributed to between 150-200 needy families. Likewise 4.5 tons of milk is distributed to over 1,000 children. Hot meals are also made available via a year-round free kitchen.
Day care center facilities provide childcare classes for pre-schoolers as well as family education classes to local mothers and teenagers.
