We’ve known little Mareli for a few years now. Though poor, she is always cheerful and thankful for her food. Her mother, Marisol, is a 19 year-old single parent with three small children, living in extreme poverty. They live with Mareli’s bedridden grandfather, and survive on his tiny pension of 800 pesos ($66) a month.

Marisol has not been able to secure any regular income, and they are grateful to be able to eat a hot meal at the free dining hall 5 days a week, receive a monthly food package with basic staples and fresh vegetables, as well as receive free medical care at PRAC’s “El Refugio Clinic” when needed.

Thank you for helping us put food on her little plate.
